Auction to be held onsite at the Colusa United Methodist Church, 2550 N CR 1740 E, Colusa, IL.
(1 block west & 1 block north of the Post Office.) Colusa is located approx. 5 miles south of Dallas City, IL or 12 miles north of Carthage, IL.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Selling will be the real estate and contents of the former Colusa United Methodist Church located in Colusa, IL. The church building is an all brick structure built in 1917 and has 2 central AC units, hot water gas heat, full basement and is situated on an approx. 200’ x 200’ lot. The church building features approx. (20) stained glass windows in various shapes, sizes and colors and (7) hexagon shaped hanging light fixtures with caramel slag glass, along with other items. (All windows, light fixtures, pews, etc. will sell separate from the real estate.) The real estate will sell first followed by the fixtures, windows, lights, etc., thus giving the real estate buyer the opportunity to then purchase these items.
Other personal property will include 3 pianos, 6 curved pews, antique 42” tall pine pulpit, folding metal chairs, 2 rolling storage racks for metal chairs, 30” electric range, 5’ red painted child’s table, chalkboard on stand, 15 red chorus robes, approx. 200 pieces of Salem china dishes marked “Colusa E.U.B.”, several hard rubber parking bumpers, office desk, vacuum sweeper and other misc. items.
METHOD AND TERMS: Property will be sold for a total dollar amount. 10% of the bid price will be due on the day of the auction, with the balance due in approximately 45 days on (or before) October 16, 2017. Immediately following the auction, the successful buyer will enter into a written purchase agreement with the seller. Title Insurance in the full amount of the purchase price will be provided by the seller. The church was exempt from paying real estate property taxes so there will be no proration on real estate taxes. Full possession will be given at the time of closing. Please note: The real estate sells first – then the fixtures, windows, lights and other items which may or may not be attached to the building.
