• When should I bring my consignment to the auction?
Our staff will begin accepting consignments at the Oakley-Lindsay Center beginning Monday morning, May 13th. Bring your consignments anytime between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. All consignments need to be checked in by Friday, May 17th at 5:00 P.M. (Unless other arrangements have been made with the auction company.) Bring your titles. Dealers also need to bring a copy of a bill of sale for each item. Bill of sales need to have the dealer name & license number.
• What do I need to bring to register to bid in person and when can I register?
To register for an onsite bidder number you will need a photo ID/drivers license. We do not require a bank letter of credit. There is no fee to obtain a bidder number & there is no admission fee. Registration is open now! You can get a bidder number from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. now thru Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Sunday. Bidder registration will open at 7:00 A.M. on Monday morning.
• What type of payment is accepted when attending the auction in person?
Sullivan Auctioneers will accept cash, personal check, company check, wire transfer, ACH & major credit cards (3% fee for credit card purchases). We do not charge any additional buyer’s premium or fees. All buyers are responsible for any sales tax due.
• When do the purchased items need to be removed from the convention center?
Items can be picked up from Monday, May 20th through Friday, May 24th between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. All items will need to be removed by no later than Friday, May 24th at 5:00 p.m. If you plan to purchase at this auction we strongly encourage you to arrange vehicle transportation prior to bidding. Any vehicles or items that are not removed by Friday, May 24th will be transported to an alternate location at the buyer’s expense.
• How do I bid online & what are the fees involved?
All cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, campers, ATVs, along with select memorabilia will be offered online through Proxibid.com. There will be a Ring 1 catalog & a Ring 2 catalog. Click on the Proxibid link now to get pre-registered. You will need a valid credit card to register. Once you are registered & are approved, you will be capable of bidding on either or both auction catalogs. There is an 8% buyer’s premium to bid online.
• What can I expect in regards to parking?
Sullivan Auctioneers has been working with the Quincy, Illinois City Hall & the Street Department officials on this project for many months. There are several public parking lots within walking distance of the convention center. There is also street side parking. In addition, Sullivan Auctioneers has rented additional parking lots from various businesses. We will post an area map with highlighted available parking lots. There will be a large parking lot designated for transports, trucks with trailers, motorhomes and other large vehicles. In addition to the online map, we will have parking signs posted on Sunday, May 19th (Open House) & on Monday, May 20th (Auction Day). Sullivan Auctioneers has rented shuttles to transport people from the various parking lots to the Oakley-Lindsay Center. These shuttles will run during the Open House on Sunday and all-day Monday.
• Can I have a vehicle inspected & can a vehicle be test driven?
We encourage anyone interested in a vehicle to inspect the vehicle or have a competent source inspect the vehicle. Due to insurance reasons, no one will be allowed to test drive any of the vehicles. Sullivan Auctioneers also stresses the fact that all vehicles are sold as is, where is. All vehicles are sold as non-matching numbers & without any guarantees. All sales are final. Buyers are accepting their purchases without warranty and without any post sale arbitration. Buyers Beware!
