Timed Online Auction Format
Timed, online no-reserve architectural salvage auction.
Joe & Dawn Sullivan recently purchased a Hancock County, IL farm which has a dilapidated home and set of farm outbuildings. The Sullivans are going to demolish the buildings and therefore will be auctioning the salvage rights and contents of the home and most outbuildings (does not include the metal machine shed and corn crib).
Items are located at 895 ECR 350, Sutter, IL. From Hamilton, IL, take Highway 96 south 11 miles to ECR 350 (West Point Road), then east approximately 2 miles to Road 895, then south 1/2 mile to the farmstead. Or, from Quincy, IL, take Hwy. 96 north approximately 20 miles to County Road 350N (West Point Road), then east approximately 2 miles to Road 895, then south 1/2 to the farmstead.
The auction will consist of one individual lot that will sell for a lump sum, total dollar amount. The winning bidder can take anything in, on or attached to the home, barn and rustic outbuildings (does not include the metal machine shed and corn crib) including barn siding, hand hewn barn beams, rusty tin roofs, antique sliding barn doors, door hardware, shiplap siding, interior & exterior doors and windows, lightning rods, any farm primitives, oil cans, copper wiring and any other salvage items.
The buyer will be required to sign a liability waiver which will release the seller and Sullivan Auctioneers, LLC from any liability should anyone be injured while removing the items. The successful buyer will have until Monday, August 23, 2021 to remove all items – no exceptions as demolition will begin the following day.
Anyone wishing to look at the property can contact the farm tenant Louie Zinn at 319.795.2314. No unannounced lookers.
