Illiois EPA Information

The Sill property was the location of a historic petroleum release from underground storage tank(s). The underground storage tanks were removed on April 13, 2000, and notification of a release was made to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (Incident No. 00-0661). Information regarding environmental activities at the property can be obtained by contacting the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA), Leaking Underground Storage Tank Section, 1021 North Grand Avenue East, Springfield, IL 62794-9276 (217.557.8764), and referencing LUST Incident No. 00-0661 or LPC #0670205004 – Hancock County.  Future access to the property may be needed for Illinois EPA approved corrective action activities.


Method & Terms

The Sill property will be sold for a lump sum total dollar amount. 

Immediately following the auction, the successful buyer will be required to sign a real estate sales contract and pay ten percent (10%) of the purchase price as a non-refundable down payment which will be held in escrow until closing. The balance of the purchase price will be due at closing which will take place on or before October 12, 2022. The seller will provide title insurance in the full amount of the purchase price. The 2022 real estate taxes, due and payable in 2023, will be prorated to the day of closing.  Possession will be given at the time of closing.

Bidding is NOT subject to any contingencies, including but not limited to financing, an appraisal or inspection of the property.
