A Family Legacy – Young and Gillenwater Farms

After nearly 80 years of family farming, the Young and Gillenwater families have retired from their long-standing row crop operation. Both Kevin and Regina Gayle grew up on the family farm, where their shared roots and strong work ethic helped carry on a legacy that began in 1945 when their grandparents purchased the “home place,” once an apple orchard turned thriving farm.

Kevin and Regina Gayle, along with their spouses Regina Dawn and Rick, continued the family tradition — raising livestock, running a mechanic and dirt-moving business, and operating a Precision Planting dealership — all while maintaining the land and equipment with exceptional care and pride.

Though parting with the farm wasn’t easy, the families are filled with gratitude and hope that the next owners will find the same joy, purpose, and blessings in this land that has sustained three generations.
